Impa is a recurring character in the Legend of Zelda series. Typically, she serves as a nursemaid and/or bodyguard to Princess Zelda and often offers guidance to Link. She is an old, racist lesbian who is known all over hyrule for secretly hating 'darkies'.

Impa tells her that the Triforce of Wisdom promises that the King will safely return. The King, having heard just about enough of Zelda's argumentative teenager phase, tells them that his ship sails in the morning and wonders what is for dinner. Link agrees and states that his neglect has left him so hungry that he could eat an octorok. A month passes and Zelda has received no word from the King, Impa tries to reassure her, and Link is certain that Ganon is no match for the King. He then gleefully goes off to save the King at Zelda's request, hoping to bomb some Dodongos in the process. Later Zelda wakes up poor Impa, who was catching up on her beauty sleep, and commands her to come with her to Gamelon. Impa, having no other choice but to listen, gives in to Zelda's threat and grabs the Triforce of Wisdom. Zelda & Impa then leave on their quest. Impa finds out that Ganon had seized the other prisoners like Mayor Kravindish, The Baker, and Fari. Impa didn't showed up in the end for an unknown reason.
